Land management

We are very lucky to have a wide diversity of habitat including burns, wetland, field and woodland. Most of the responsibility for land management has been handed over to the Charity, Talamh Life Centre. Habitat diversity plans for the land are already underway, and the and has been improved to create new woodland, moorland and a large pond.

The gardens and polytunnel are worked by Housing Co-op members and volunteers incorporating permaculture techniques to produce regular supplies of our own fruit and vegetables. We also keep chickens for their eggs. Surplus supplies are often turned into preserves and wine.

Visitors are always welcome to come along and help out.
